What is your vision for Health Proc Europe?

I see the association built and shaped for procurers by procurers.

Health Proc Europe represents the growing procurement ecosystem with the focus on European healthcare procurers to empower them and strengthen their role.

This is all about getting procurers on to the stage and giving them a voice.

Our vision is to build a community led ecosystem that is about the procurer’s needs and supports the growth of cross-border exchange, accelerating innovation and good practices.

Which things do you see changing over the next five years?

With the current global health challenges it becomes even more obvious that procurement is in urgent need to transform.

This translates to better procurement practices with procurement at the front of decision making, interdisciplinary teams at the core to improve in-house collaboration.

This can only be accomplished by further developing professional skills and competencies, an upgrade of IT infrastructure, innovation and strategic alliances.

This is our vision: to accelerate the shift in healthcare procurement, build a community of European procurement experts with a focus on digitalization, ecosystem thinking, sustainability.

In five years, procurement managers from hospital and healthcare providers will be seen as “rock stars”.

How do you define success?

For me success means being able to ‘adapt to change‘.

If we are able to flexibly adapt to a quickly changing environment, we are able to become problem solvers and can drive change, instead of being driven by it.
